Legal translations

Legal terminology is technical by nature. That is why for legal assignments, we rely exclusively on specialists who have solid professional expertise in a specific field of law.

Professional expertise equals quality

Amsterdam Translation Services has grown into a household name when it comes to legal translations in a variety of fields of law. Our legal translators not only have the required linguistic qualities; they also have full command of the specialist terminology, since they are also thoroughly familiar with the world behind the text. They are often jurists themselves, allowing them to have in-depth professional knowledge of a specific law system and culture - according to ATS, a prerequisite for the correct interpretation and translation of a legal document. We select the translator best suited to handle your text and in addition, arrange an independent final check of the translation by a legal editor. We dot the i's and cross the t's. If so required, we can provide you with a sworn and/or legalised translation.

Speed

In many cases, you wish to have a translation as soon as possible, if not sooner. You can expect short lead times from us that are coordinated with your planning. Our team will give their all to provide you with the translation as quickly as possible, and can be counted on to always honour their agreements. Nor are urgent translations an issue. If so required, our translators will also work in the evening, at night and at weekends. As we always follow certified quality procedures and work exclusively with dedicated professionals, you can rest assured that a translation's quality is never affected by its speed.

Confidentiality

Absolute confidentiality is guaranteed throughout the entire translation process and after the translation has been rounded off. For example, we follow strict confidentiality procedures and work within a secure IT environment. Should you require this, we are prepared to sign a confidentiality statement that you or we have prepared in advance.
