There are two options: a whisper set or an interpreter booth:
The whisper set
A compact system that allows the interpreter to speak (whisper) through a microphone and the audience to listen to his/her translation via a headset. The interpreter is in the same room as the audience and the speaker. It is best that he/she sits at separate table or desk, so that the audience are not distracted by the whispering.
This equipment is particularly suited for smaller audience groups and spaces that do not have room for a booth. Examples include small halls or rooms, or spaces on upper floors in buildings that do not have a lift. The whisper set is easy to use and conveniently sized, so that you do not require a technician to set it up.
The interpreter booth
The perfect solution for large events and conferences. The interpreter or pair of interpreters works in a soundproof booth, so that the audience and the speaker or speakers cannot hear him/her translate. In cases where a pair of interpreters is employed, the two can easily switch from one to the other via a special panel. The translation is relayed to the listeners in the audience via headsets. We will provide you with the technician required to install and set up the booth. For conferences attended by different nationalities, it is also possible to let multiple interpreters work simultaneously from separate booths (provided there is enough space).
